Learnings from BOI’s ‘Great Resignation’

  • Without a Conducive Organizational Culture, even the greatest Investment Strategies will falter.  This applies nationally as well!
  • However uphill it may be, we need to engage employees and take them along the transformation journey. Leadership, both at National and Institutional level, have a very tough role to play here.  Its their day job anyways!
  • Boards & the C-suites must be empowered to take the right strategic decisions. At the same time, all great Strategies should be simply explainable to the wider employee base, particularly in a unionized state sector environment. This requires sincerity, humility and realism.
  • Keep asking ‘Why?’ and ‘So What?’ for every strategic decision / initiative.
