The MTI Forum on Banking & Financial Services was held on 9th of March 2011 at the Taj Samudra Colombo under the theme “Re-strategizing Financial Services in Sri Lanka”. The forum was focused on how the Sri Lankan financial services sector needs to gear up for the impending economic upturn in the country.

The event took a hard look at the existing norms within the industry. Drawing from the MTI’s global experience, the forum challenged these existing norms, presenting new practices and strategies to take the country’s financial services sector forward. The Forum offered those in the financial services industry a chance to identify opportunities in key areas such as service quality and innovation & research, which will act as the catalyst in the future growth of the financial services industry.
