Why are we broke?

Much like a person, when a country is ‘broke’, some self-reflection can help:
- What did you do with all that ‘easy’ credit – when you were on a ‘high’? Spent on Opex or Capex?
- If Capex: Are you sweating those assets? (assuming they are still assets!)
- Now that Creditors are at your door, which assets will you dispose? Or will you look for new creditors to settle the old?
- What is your realistic cash flow plan for the next 3 to 5 years. Is your ‘lifestyle’ and ego aligned to this?
